Pongal is a traditional harvest festival celebrated in India, particularly in the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. It is a time to give thanks for the bountiful harvest and to pray for a prosperous year ahead. The four-day festival is observed with great fervour and enthusiasm by people of all ages. As part of our celebration of this festival, our kids at Kairos participated in lots of fun activities. A number of dances and kite-flying activities were planned for them, which they thoroughly enjoyed.
Pongal is a festival that celebrates harvest and community. It is a time to forget past differences and strengthen bonds. It is a time of joy and happiness, a time to be grateful for all that we have. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Pongal!
