To encourage critical thinking and analysis skills while also interpreting popular music ,the grade 10 students made their own music video on Grammy and Academic Award winning singer Adele’s song Hello!
The students brainstormed their ideas for their music video based on the lyrics given.
They considered the mood of the song and how to convey that mood visually and curated a story based on the lyrics with characters they wanted to feature.
Finally,
the students filmed their music video,experimenting with different camera angles, lighting, and editing techniques to create a visually compelling video.
This activity was a fun and creative way to engage students in music and visual storytelling. It allowed them to explore their own creativity and experiment with different techniques.
